Care
This leather is tough and has a very natural matt finish this includes blemishes and marks in the leather this gives the leather a great vintage look, with use and over time the leather will pick up its own patina.
We oil your new pouch with a high quality leather oil which does darken the leather this will fade to a natural pull up Black colour with use.
Care is very simple just use a firm shoe brush inside and out to remove dirt and dust then apply either a leather oil like Effax or Neats foot oil allow to dry and brush once again.

United KingdomFor myself the perfect pouch
I am a home loader mainly using a 410 for my shooting and in an average week I will use around 200 cartridges I write this review the after pouch has had around 1500 cartridges through it, for myself a double pocket pouch is essential as I reload my spent 410 cases and a double pocket pouch saves me from fumbling around in my pockets with cartridges whilst loading / unloading, I have in the past used many other pouches all of which have fallen apart at the seam or split within a short time. On receipt of the Hornstone pouch it was nicely presented in a dust bag along with a very nice belt key holder which I believe to be stronger than my land rover key ring that lives on it whilst I am shooting, the pouch itself is extremely well made from quality thick leather with a reinforcing layer in areas of potential high wear, the stitching cord appears to be very strong this being backed up with rivets in high stress areas where several of my previous pouches failed, the finish of the pouch is in matt black wax that repels water very well. In use the generous belt loop allows for a broad belt to better spread the weight of the loaded pouch the rear pocket of which easily accommodates 100 3 inch 410 cartridges which is enough to get me around the clay ground, the stiffness of the leather prevents the pouches going out of shape and bulging out or folding in enabling me to load and unload without looking down thus decreasing my reload time, whilst walking around the the stiffness of the leather allows my upper thigh to slide along the pouch smoothly without the pouch bumping around and causing the cartridges make game scaring noise as other pouches have. With a bit of care in the way of an occasional wax I very much doubt this pouch will fail and I fully expect it to be the last pouch I purchase. I now wish I had bought this pouch years ago which in the long run would of saved me money and the odd missed chance of a shot due to my having to take my eye off the field whilst reloading.
