Are Hornstone products truly British made?
Yes, absolutely. We proudly guarantee that every single Hornstone branded product is authentically handcrafted here in England by myself. We are deeply committed to supporting British manufacturing, which is why we source our premium materials exclusively from UK-based companies. Our trusted network of suppliers ranges from historic, long-established heritage firms to independent, small-scale sole traders and fellow craftsmen. When you choose Hornstone, you are directly investing in traditional British craftsmanship and a fully local supply chain built to last.
Can I see updates on my order?
On our Homepage you will see our order status page, enter your email and order number for an up to date current status of your order, this is updated daily.
Do I have to wait for items to be dispatched?
Because everything is handcrafted in-house at our UK workshop, dispatch times depend entirely on stock levels and whether your item requires custom work. We always aim to keep our most popular ranges in standard form fully stocked and ready to go. If your item is ready-made and in stock, it will be dispatched within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
If you choose to add customisation or initials to your item, please allow an average of 2–4 working days for production before dispatch (this turnaround time may be slightly longer during exceptionally busy seasonal periods). For more complex custom adjustments, processing can take between 1–10 working days. If you have any urgent queries regarding current stock availability or delivery timelines, please email us directly at admin@hornstone.co.uk.
Do you accept custom builds or bespoke commissions?
While our core focus is entirely on perfecting our standard collection, we can occasionally accommodate highly specific custom builds depending on our current workshop schedule. Please be aware that bespoke items require a completely separate design layout, individual pattern cutting, and dedicated bench time away from our main production. Consequently, custom builds command a significant premium, incur substantial extra costs, and require extended lead times to complete. If you have a project in mind and accept these custom parameters, please email your detailed ideas to admin@hornstone.co.uk to discuss viability.
Can I talk to someone about my order?
Yes, absolutely. In the first instance, please email your query directly to us at admin@hornstone.co.uk. Because I am generally busy working at the bench or running machinery in the workshop during the day, I cannot always answer the phone immediately. However, if your query cannot be resolved via email, I am more than happy to schedule a dedicated phone call with you at a convenient time.
