This Sling is strong and robust using a Conway brass buckle which has no moving parts and provides a truly set and forget fitting, two brass screw studs to the top and a sliding vegetable tanned hand sewn shoulder slider finish of this rather handsome sling!
Available with strap widths of either 25 mm or 20 mm.
Dark brown Bridle leather strap with an approx. thickness of 3-4 mm cut from Bridle butt leather which offers great strength and very minimum stretch.
The shoulder slider is 50 mm wide and hand sewn with strong saddlery thread, the front face has our logo embossed into the leather, this can be replaced with your initials if required.
Please note that we always advise to use a temporary thread lock on screw studs.
When you receive your new sling it will be fully put together, a good tip is to take a moment to see how everything fits together. To fit to your swivels follow the details below.
Firstly at the buckle create a loop of leather releasing the upper leather from the buckle stud, then when you have enough clearance release the lower leather from the stud in buckle and clear it from the buckle, slide off the leather keeper and fit leather through the rifle swivel then back through the leather keeper and refit on the buckle stud, once the lower leather is located on the stud slide the upper part to the desired length and push the locating hole onto the buckle stud, voila! a strong sturdy fitment, to alter length when out in the field just release the upper leather from the buckle stud and slide it up or down and relocate on stud.
The upper section of the sling is secured via two screw studs, these simply undo using a flat head screw driver, it is always advisable to add a drop or two of a semi permanent thread lock then tighten the screws to secure the leather.
